He also is an Enrolled Agent which allows him to practice in front of the IRS on tax matters.

Scott’s career in finance began in 1982 at an east coast-based brokerage firm. He has worked as a financial planner for a small boutique CPA firm and as a wealth manager for a large Registered Investment Advisory. He is the past Chairperson for the Texas Study Group of the National Association of Professional Financial Advisors. Scott dedicates much of his free time to volunteering for meaningful causes. He is the immediate past President of the Board of Directors at Susan G. Komen Greater Central and East Texas and has been a volunteer and board member for the Center for Child Protection. A big fan of active recreation, Scott proudly played point guard for his high school basketball team, which won the New England Basketball Championship, beating the 7th ranked team in the country. These days, he enjoys swimming, running, and playing erratic golf.
