About

Juan Ros, CFP®, AEP®, CSPG is a Partner at Forum Financial Management, LP, where he advises legacy-minded families and business owners on wealth enhancement, protection, and transfer — with a particular focus on charitable and exit planning strategies.

Juan's path to financial planning is distinctive: before entering the profession, he spent nearly a decade in nonprofit fundraising, raising millions in current and deferred gifts for institutions including the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, Occidental College, and the ALS Association. That background gives him a charitable-first perspective rare among financial advisors.

Since 2015, Juan has served on the faculty of the American Institute for Philanthropic Studies, which awards the Certified Specialist in Planned Giving (CSPG) designation. He is a contributing editor to Planned Giving Today and serves on the board of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils (NAEPC).

He is an active member of Exit Planning Exchange (XPX) Phoenix, ProVisors, the Central Arizona Estate Planning Council, Arizona Charitable Gift Planners, and the Financial Planning Association, and previously served as president of both the Los Angeles Council of Charitable Gift Planners and the Conejo Valley Estate Planning Council.

Juan holds an MBA with an emphasis in Financial Planning from California Lutheran University and a Bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University.

Investment Philosophy
Our investment program is a fee-based, highly diversified, low-cost, passive investment strategy using primarily the mutual funds of Dimensional Fund Advisors and based on an investment philosophy derived from decades of academic research in financial and market theory. We believe that by investing in a variety of asset classes and using a disciplined approach, the program will provide a reasonable return over the long term while managing risk, which will ultimately result in a sustainable investment strategy. This program’s goal is to help clients achieve their financial goals by overcoming the pitfalls of emotional investing, such as trying to time the markets and chase hot funds and asset classes. Instead we implement a disciplined and well-diversified portfolio that benefits from random asset class movements. There are four main elements to the program: 1) customization, 2) risk management, 3) market returns and 4) account aggregation.
